Ships & Marine Vessels Monitoring Systems

Marine-rated wind, weather, and water-quality instruments for vessel bridges, research decks, and survey campaigns — with NMEA-compatible outputs and onboard displays.

Zenocean provides onboard meteorological and water-quality monitoring systems for commercial vessels, research ships, fishery vessels, and survey craft.

Industry Challenges

Operational risks in ships & marine vessels

Field operators face conditions that change quickly. Real-time monitoring reduces manual workload and lowers operational risk.

Navigation weather data

Bridges need reliable, real-time wind and weather data — not consumer-grade sensors prone to corrosion or signal loss.

NMEA / bridge integration

Sensor outputs must speak the bridge's language — NMEA, Modbus, RS485 — and integrate with ECDIS and existing displays.

Harsh deck environment

Salt spray, vibration, and impact loads demand marine-grade enclosures and cabling, not commodity weather stations.

Onboard water-quality sampling

Research and fishery vessels need portable or semi-permanent water-quality instruments that survive deck handling.

Survey-grade data logging

Survey campaigns need time-stamped, georeferenced sensor data with reliable on-board storage and export.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do the wind sensors output NMEA?

Yes. Ultrasonic wind sensors can output NMEA 0183 (MWV / VWR / VWT) as well as Modbus and RS485 for integration with bridge systems.

Are the sensors corrosion-resistant?

Yes. Marine-grade enclosures, sealed connectors, and anti-corrosion coatings are standard for vessel-mounted instruments.

Can we get apparent and true wind?

Yes. With vessel heading and speed inputs, the system computes both apparent and true wind for navigation use.

Can the system work on a research vessel?

Yes. CoreLink loggers support GPS-stamped, time-synchronized recording for survey-grade campaign data.

Do you supply onboard displays?

Yes. Compact bridge displays present wind, weather, and water-quality readings with configurable layouts and alarm thresholds.
